Work-Study Intern: Resource Centers for Climate & Belonging

The Resource Center intern reports directly to the Executive Director of the Resource Centers and works closely with the Assistant Directors. This position is scheduled for approximately 10-12 hours per week, with some evening hours and remote work-from-home flexibility. This position runs from September 2024 to June 2025. In this role, the intern will:

  • Support the Assistant Directors with programmatic and logistical tasks for LGBTQ, MRC, and Undocu events
  • Review the RC websites and document edits needed, broken links, updated resources needed, etc.
  • Research and identify educational materials that focus on education, health, community, activism, leadership opportunities, and more
  • Collaborate with the Resource Center interns on a social media strategy to bring visibility to our work
  • Create engaging content using Canva with special highlights for cultural heritage months and observance days
  • Provide staffing coverage of the Resource Centers at Parnassus during open hours
  • Attend weekly supervision meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Full-time enrollment in a graduate degree program at the University of California, San Francisco
  • Work-study eligibility

Qualifications

  • Former experience in Student Affairs, intercultural work, sexuality education, or social justice programming
  • A firm understanding of LGBTQIA+ communities, intersectionality, anti-racist and social justice frameworks

Compensation

$30/hour
