Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds

CARES Act / HEERF I

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law on March 27, 2020. All awards from this first round of funding have been distributed to eligible UCSF students.

CRRSAA / HEERF II

The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) was signed into law on December 27, 2020. All awards from HEERF II funding have been distributed to eligible UCSF students.

ARP / HEERF III

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) was signed into law on March 11, 2021. All awards from HEERF III funding have been distributed to eligible UCSF students.

International Students

International students should not complete the FAFSA, but instead should submit the International Student Application for Federal Student Emergency Grant Awards application, created for the purpose of assessing financial need. There is no other application necessary.
