The Resource Center Assistant at the UCSF Science & Health Education Partnership (SEP) involves a commitment of 8-20 hours per week within the workday (8 am to 5 pm). The UCSF SEP Daly Ralston Resource Center is a lending library of materials to support hands-on science and health lessons in K-12 classrooms, as well as other learning situations such as community outreach events. One of our most unique and popular items are preserved human organ specimens. This position would support teachers and their students in learning about the human body through the human organ specimens. Responsibilities would include:
- Transporting organ specimens to and from SF public school sites, as well as other materials needed to support lessons
- Helping plan and support lessons in teachers’ classrooms using the human organ specimens
- Supporting upkeep and care of the human organ specimens
- Potentially additional support in the Resource Center

Position Requirements
- Work-study eligibility verified by Financial Aid.
- Availability during the school day, ideally available at least one full day per week during the academic year
- A car and driver’s license to get to and from UCSF and school sites (you will be reimbursed for mileage driven)
- Ideally, knowledge of human body anatomy
- Interest in working with K-12 teachers and students
