The Resource Center Assistant at the UCSF Science & Health Education Partnership (SEP) involves a commitment of 8-20 hours per week within the workday (8 am to 6 pm) during the 2025-2026 academic year. Schedule is flexible and can be dependent on other academic responsibilities.
The primary responsibilities of the Resource Center Assistant will be to support the day-to-day operation of the Resource Center. Responsibilities will include supporting Resource Center staff with managing all aspects of the circulation of materials in the center (this includes checking materials in and out, inventorying returned materials, repairing or replacing lost/broken materials, restocking depleted consumables, placing reserves on items and organizing the reserve queue, and recalling overdue items); communicating with patrons through email and phone messages; and offering guidance for scientist volunteers and SFUSD teachers on their science lessons and materials usage.

Position Requirements
- Work-study eligibility verified by Financial Aid.
- Availability between 8am – 6pm; availability between 2-6 pm is particularly desired.
