The UCSF School of Pharmacy seeks two creative, detail-oriented work-study students to support its social media platforms (Instagram @ucsfpharmacy, LinkedIn and Facebook).
School of Pharmacy PharmD students preferred. Applicants for this position must be eligible for federal work study.
Under the supervision of the Office of Communications, the social media work-study students will:
- Interview UCSF School of Pharmacy students to create student profiles
- Each work-study student will create 2-3 pieces of social media content per month, such as student profiles, carousel posts, reels, writing captions and more
- Film content (must be comfortable being on camera)
- Help create engaging social media graphics
- Suggest ideas for social media content that engages School of Pharmacy students and promotes the school’s academic programs, resources and student life. If these ideas are approved, the work-study students will bring the idea to life by creating the content.
- Deliver content for the Office of Communications to review and work with the office to refine content for posting
- Assist with or complete similar projects, as assigned
- Use Outlook, Teams, Asana and other tools currently used by the Office of Communications to coordinate work and manage projects with the communications team
All work must comply with UCSF and UCSF School of Pharmacy policies and guidelines. This is a one-year term for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Skills:
- Fluent with social media platforms, including creating content, filming and editing
- Interest in being a student influencer
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to meet publication deadlines
- Excellent communications skills, both with the Office of Communications and individuals the work-study students will be interviewing and engaging with
- Ability to comply with UCSF and UCSF School of Pharmacy policies and guidelines, including the university’s branding guidelines, editorial style and PRIDE values.
