The U.S. Department of Education announced on January 14, 2021 that additional funding would be made available to higher education institutions to ensure learning continues for students during the COVID-19 pandemic, under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act's Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II.
Emergency grants will be awarded to UCSF students based on their financial need, beginning with students who previously received a Pell Grant and/or have outstanding federal student loan debt.
To apply, complete a FAFSA for the 2020-21 school year, (NOT 2021-22). If you have already completed a 2020-21 FAFSA to recieve another form of aid, you do not need to do it again. The deadline to complete the 2020-221 FAFSA is February 12, 2021.
