Exit Counseling Requirements For Graduating Students

About to graduate? Congratulations!
But before you leave us, you will need to take care of a little business...

An exit Interview is mandatory for anyone who received loan funds while at UCSF.  Attendance will be verified.

Students who received any university-based loan, such as Perkins Loan, Health Professions Loan, Loan for Disadvantaged Students, Nursing Student Loan, Nurse Faculty Loan or University Loan must attend an exit interview session with Student Accounts and must call to schedule an appointment for one of the days listed below.

Unless indicated otherwise in the chart below, sessions will be held at Student Accounts in Mission Center Building (MCB). University-based loan recipients must call or email one of the Student Accounting contacts listed below to schedule an appointment for one of the times listed in the chart.  Direct (Stafford)/Grad PLUS-only loan recipients do not need to schedule an appointment.

All attendees must bring the following to the session: Name, address and telephone number of four references (two relatives and two non-relatives).

All Direct (Stafford) and Graduate PLUS loan recipients must complete an online exit counseling session  by following these instructions.  This online session usually takes about 15-20 minutes.
